What it is
Steady is a small, kind app for the days when your mind won't stop replaying, checking, comparing, or telling you that nothing you do is enough.
It doesn't gamify your mental health. No streaks, no scores, no guilt. Just simple practices that help you put thoughts down:
- Check In — notice how the spirals are today, 1 to 5
- Breathe — guided box breathing
- Reframe — a gentler angle on the perfectionist thought
- Wins & Good Enough — log small wins, draw the line for the day
- Compassion, Compare Detox, Mattering — talk to yourself like someone you love
- Wind Down & End of Day — put the day's thoughts down before sleep
Private by design
There is no account, no tracking, and no server. Everything you write stays in your browser, on your device. You can download a backup of your data anytime from the Progress tab — and that file goes only where you put it.
Read the full (short, honest) privacy note.
Install it like an app

Computer
In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
A note on what Steady is not
Steady is a self-help companion, not therapy, diagnosis, or medical care. If the spirals feel bigger than an app — and sometimes they are — that's not a failure. It means you deserve more support than an app can give.
In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), anytime. Anywhere else, findahelpline.com can point you to someone local.
